QSE Index Rises by 70.17 Points at Start of Trading
Doha, May 08 (QNA) - The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 70.17 points, or 0.67%, at the start of trading on Thursday, reaching 10,548 points, compared to last closing, backed by six sectors.
Qatar Stock Exchange figures showed a positive performance in Transportation by 1.17%; Banks and Financial Services by 0.95%; Insurance by 0.88%; Consumer Goods and Services by 0.35%; Real Estate by 0.23% and Telecoms by 0.03%.
On the other hand, the performance was negative for Industrials by 0.02%.
By 10:00 am, a total of 48.001 million shares were traded in 3,474 transactions, valued at QR 88.221 million. (QNA)
