Kahramaa, Google Cloud Announce Strategic Partnership to Accelerate AI Innovation

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "Kahramaa" and Google Cloud announced a strategic partnership aimed at significantly advancing Kahramaa's artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, driving digital transformation, and reinforcing Qatar's position as a regional technology leader. This collaboration introduces four key initiatives designed to enhance customer service, sustainability, and operational excellence at Kahramaa.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation and aligns directly with Qatar's National Vision 2030 and Digital Agenda 2030, which prioritize establishing Qatar as a hub for emerging technologies, with AI at the forefront of digital transformation across all sectors.
On this occasion, HE President of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation Abdulla bin Ali Al Theyab said: "We are incredibly excited about this strategic partnership with Google Cloud, which marks a pivotal moment for Kahramaa's digital future."

Through the new partnership, employees will be transitioned to Google's Gemini Enterprise, a platform designed to optimize resources and deliver an enhanced user experience. With NotebookLM as a key feature for knowledge synthesis, this initiative will empower employees to utilize advanced AI tools for deep research, idea generation, and media creation, while enabling the creation of custom AI assistants to support daily workflows.
Additionally, Kahramaa's data center will be migrated to Google Cloud to leverage the scalability, flexibility, and advanced services within the Google Cloud Doha region. This move strengthens Kahramaa's multi-cloud strategy and ensures long-term operational resilience. (QNA)
