QSE Index Rises 0.54% at Market Open

Doha, April 14 (QNA) - The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose by 54.51 points, or 0.54%, at the start of trading on Monday, reaching 10,172 points, compared to the previous close.

The QSE index was buoyed by gains across most sectors, led by Telecoms (+1.55%), Industrials (+0.82%), Banks and Financial Services (+0.47%), Real Estate (+0.43%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.32%), and Insurance (+0.17%). The Transportation sector was the only decliner, falling by 0.38%.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 50.274 million shares, with a total value of QR 82.031 million across 3,440 transactions. (QNA)
