QSE Index Loses 50.49 Points at Beginning of Trading

Doha, March 11 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 50.49 points, or 0.48%, at the beginning of Tuesday’s trading, falling to 10,481 points, compared to the closing of the last session.

Qatar Stock Exchange figures attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of the Real Estate sector by 0.98%, the Transportation sector by 0.76%, the Banking and Financial Services sector by 0.36%, the Industrial sector by 0.27%, the Consumer Goods and Services sector by 0.26% and the Telecommunication sector by 0.18%.

On the other hand, the insurance sector performed positively by 0.04%.

At around 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1849 transactions worth QR 42.337 million, distributed over 21.656 million shares. (QNA)
