QSE Index Drops 0.73% at Start of Trading

Doha, February 25 (QNA) - The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped by 78.25 points, or 0.73%, at the start of trading on Tuesday, falling to 10,587 points from the previous close.

The decline was led by drops in five sectors: Telecoms (-0.81%), Insurance (-0.79%), Industrials (-0.55%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.40), and Consumer Goods and Services (-0.28%). However, Transportation rose by 0.01%, and Real Estate gained 0.17%.

By 10:00 am, a total of 35.878 million shares had been traded in 2,263 transactions, valued at QR 59.459 million. (QNA)
