QSE Edges Lower at Market Open

Doha, September 24 (QNA) - The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index edged down 0.04% at the start of Wednesday's trading, losing 4.29 points to 11,170 compared with the previous close.

Gains were seen in Industrials (+0.25%), Insurance (+0.22%), Real Estate (+0.20%), and Banks and Financial Services (+0.10%). However, the index was pressured by declines in Telecoms (-0.78%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.10%), and Transportation (-0.07%).

By 10:00 am, turnover stood at QR 117.5 million from 38.5 million shares traded in 4,242 transactions. (QNA)
