Doha, February 26 (QNA) - Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has signed three strategic cooperation agreements with Microsoft Qatar, Alchemist Accelerator, and Builder.ai, on the sidelines of the Qatar Web Summit 2025.
In a statement on Wednesday, the bank explained that these agreements are part of its efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Qatar, support innovation, and enable startups to expand and grow by providing advanced technological solutions, developing talent, and promoting digital transformation. QDB expressed its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs in Qatar by granting them access to the latest technologies and global expertise through specialized training programs, high-level technical mentorship, and providing advanced digital solutions that accelerate the adoption of digital transformation in startups.
In this regard, Mohammed Abdelsalam Al Emadi, Executive Director for Investment and Business Incubators at QDB, stressed the bank's commitment to developing the Qatari entrepreneurial ecosystem by enhancing the ability of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises to keep up with the rapid advancements in modern technology. He further explained that these strategic partnerships with leading global companies aim to reinforce this direction.
He emphasized that through these agreements, QDB is enabling startups in Qatar to access the best technologies, benefit from strategic mentorship, and enhance their presence in regional and international markets, in line with the country's digital transformation goals and economic diversification efforts.
On her part, Lana Khalaf, Country Manager of Microsoft Qatar, affirmed Microsoft’s commitment to empowering startups by providing them with artificial intelligence tools and advanced cloud solutions, in addition to transferring knowledge and skills and offering access to markets to drive their expansion and create sustainable impact. She clarified that the strategic collaboration with QDB is aimed at supporting startups at every stage of their development, from ideation to the successful implementation of projects.
Meanwhile, Director of Ecosystem Integration at Alchemist Accelerator- Doha, Majed Lababidi, noted that the strategic partnership with QDB underscores their shared efforts to discover and support promising startups, jointly invest in them, provide essential resources, and offer networks and opportunities that enable them to grow and thrive.
Additionally, Sachin Dev Duggal, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Builder.ai, considered the partnership with QDB as a mutual commitment to enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Qatar and contributing to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. (QNA)
