Paris, February 26 (QNA) - The State of Qatar's delegation, headed by HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, participated in the 61st Paris International Agricultural Show 2025, which is being held in Paris, France, and will continue until March 2.
The State of Qatar's participation in the show comes to affirm the country's commitment to enhance international cooperation in the agricultural field, and benefit from the best practices and modern technologies to support sustainable food security, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
During his meeting with HE Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of France Annie Genevard on the sidelines of the show, HE Minister of Municipality stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector, in line with Qatar's National Food Security Strategy 2030, which was prepared in cooperation with relevant authorities from the public and private sectors, to ensure flexibility and adaption to local and international changes.
He pointed out that the strategy aims to ensure the sustainability of food supplies, by promoting innovation and employing technology in developing agricultural and food solutions that are in line with environmental challenges and rapid climate change, indicating that the strategy is based on four main pillars, including local production, local markets, strategic reserves and early warning systems, and international trade and investment.
The Paris International Agricultural Show, held annually in Versailles since 1964, is the largest international agricultural exhibition in France and Europe, bringing together major agricultural producers and specialized organizations, with the aim of promoting international cooperation and showcasing the latest agricultural technologies and sustainable strategies.
