Qatar Participates in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Annual Meeting in China

Beijing, June 26 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the opening session of the Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and the official meeting of the Bank's Governors, held in Beijing, People's Republic of China.

In the two meetings, the State of Qatar was represented by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

The State of Qatar's participation reflects its commitment to active engagement in regional and international initiatives that support economic growth and infrastructure development, and to the enhancement of investment partnerships with various international entities.

The two meetings come within the framework of strengthening financial and investment cooperation among member countries and discussing ways to support developmental projects and infrastructure in the region. The meetings reviewed the Bank's future plans and strategies aimed at promoting sustainable economic development. (QNA)
