Qatar Participates in 3rd Meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Investment Agencies
Doha, April 13 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated Sunday in the 3rd meeting of the committee of GCC undersecretaries of investment agencies, which was held in the State of Kuwait.
HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki represented the State of Qatar at the meeting.
During the meeting, Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the GCC countries' cooperation with other countries and international entities in the field of investment, and the State of Kuwait's proposal to establish a specialized training center to attract foreign investment and issue a unified license for foreign companies operating in the GCC countries to contribute to facilitating procedures for investors and unifying the business environment across the GCC countries.
They also reviewed the vision for the 2nd Investment Forum between the GCC Countries and Central Asia. In addition, they discussed the results of the investment working group meeting concerned with preparing the structure of the committees affiliated with the committee of undersecretaries of investment agencies.
Participants reviewed the decisions of the Trade Cooperation Committee at its 67th meeting, in addition to the General Secretariat's memorandum on the outcomes of the dialogue session on the GCC countries, titled "Structural Developments, Economic Diversification, and Their Impact on Sustainability in Light of the National Visions of the GCC Countries," at the World Government Summit in Dubai 2025.
