Qatar Finance and Business Academy Marks Graduation of 7th Cohort

Doha, November 19 (QNA) - Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), in partnership with the UK's Northumbria University, has celebrated the graduation of its seventh cohort of bachelor's and master's students.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater and HE QFBA Chairman Dr Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa. A total of 238 students graduated this year, bringing the academy's overall number of graduates since 2018 to 843.
QFBA CEO Dr Khalifa Al Yafei congratulated the graduates, saying the achievement reflects Qatar's commitment to human development under its National Development Strategy. He stressed that education remains a strategic priority aimed at preparing a generation equipped with creativity, responsibility and the skills to drive Qatar's Vision 2030.
He highlighted the academy's partnership with Northumbria University, noting efforts to localise knowledge and align programs with the needs of Qatar's labour market. This year, 21 international students were among the graduates, with enrolment from abroad increasing to 30 students in 2025.
Northumbria University Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tom Lawson praised the growing strategic partnership with QFBA, now in its eighth year, saying graduates are well positioned to become future leaders in Qatar's financial sector and beyond.
Northumbria University, one of the UK's leading public institutions, established its Qatar campus in 2018 and enrolls thousands of students globally across a wide range of finance, accounting and banking programs. (QNA)
