Doha, June 19 (QNA) - Fanatics, a leading global digital sports platform, announced today plans to further its strategic global growth and will enter the Middle East via a new office and operation in the State of Qatar.

The company said that choosing Doha as the headquarters for its regional operations stems from the country's competitive business environment, advanced infrastructure, and strategic geographic location, making it a preferred destination for global companies seeking to expand their operations in the region. The move signals Fanatics’ commitment to expand into regions where it can partner with transformative global sports properties looking to grow their businesses and reach fans across many parts of the sports landscape,

Commenting on the news, Director of the Government Communications Office in Qatar Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani said that the establishment of Fanatics’ regional hub in Qatar demonstrates the confidence global industry leaders have in Qatar’s business environment and the country's strategic location, adding that it reflects the state's vision of enhancing its position as a global hub for innovation and hosting major events.

For his part, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Fanatics Tucker Kain said that Expanding into the Qatari market represents a pivotal milestone in the company's journey, noting that the region offers real opportunities for growth and engagement with sports and cultural communities.

This initiative builds on a landmark partnership signed between the Government Communications Office and Fanatics in February, on the sidelines of the second Qatar Web Summit. The five year-deal will include a number of initiatives, most prominently Fanatics Fest in New York.

Visit Qatar will participate in this year's edition of the event, set to take place from Jun. 20-22 by curating an exclusive, invite-only lounge experience for corporate partners, C-suite executives, and select athletes and celebrities that will reflect the State of Qatar as a global destination for innovation, culture, and sports.

Fanatics' entry into the Qatari market is part of the country's efforts to diversify its national economy, attract foreign investment, and promote innovation, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to build a sustainable knowledge economy that supports national talent.
