The UAE Ministry of Interior participated in the "Twins 2025 Expert Meeting" at Europol. The meeting was organized by Europol's "AP Twins" analysis project, which consists of a team tasked with combating online child sexual exploitation and similar cybercrimes against children.
The meeting was held at Europol headquarters and was attended by more than 40 experts from member states, as well as operational and strategic partners, along with experts from the UAE Ministry of Interior, Europol's strategic partner.
The meeting discussed several important topics, including recent developments in investigative techniques and cross-border cooperation, a case study on the dismantling of one of the largest child pornography websites, opportunities to improve victim identification, including tools that use artificial intelligence to automate the process and increase the efficiency of law enforcement agencies in combating this crime, technological and academic developments, and projects including the provision of personalized guidance to victims of these crimes using modern tools.
The UAE Ministry of Interior affirms its commitment to joint international cooperation to enhance community security and combat such crimes against children, which target the most vulnerable groups in society. It thanked and appreciated Europol for inviting this fruitful meeting, which resulted in the exchange of best practices and expertise aimed at making children safer.
