MOI Participates in Human Rights Conference

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Human Rights Department, participated in the 11th Conference of Human Rights Officials, held in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the conference, the UAE Ministry of Interior's electronic program was reviewed, along with its role in strengthening the human rights framework. The conference also discussed several issues related to enhancing cooperation and joint integrated work, and the exchange of expertise and information to advance human rights efforts in the Arab world. Specialists also discussed the conference's key agenda items.

The conference also included honoring the winners and distributing research certificates to representatives of Arab interior ministries. Researcher Dr. Ahmed Rashid Al Yamahi, from the Fujairah Police General Command at the UAE Ministry of Interior, won third place for his research entitled: "Human Rights of Inmates of Penal and Correctional Institutions in UAE Legislation - An Analytical Study."
