The Ministry of Interior has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Project Management Institute (PMI) to step up cooperation in project management, scientific research, education, and publishing. This pioneering move positions the Ministry as the first security agency in the MENA region to establish such a partnership with PMI.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Ministry by H.E. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Hani Al Shazly, Executive Director of the Project Management Institute in the Middle East and North Africa.
This agreement reflects the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to leveraging global best practices and adopting advanced project management methodologies to enhance institutional performance and reinforce the UAE’s position as a global model of leadership and excellence. It also opens new avenues for cooperation in specialized training programs, scientific research and publishing, and the development of reference guides that promote efficiency and professionalism in both security and institutional work.
Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili stressed that this partnership marks a significant milestone in the Ministry’s development journey, highlighting that investing in knowledge and embracing international standards strengthens the Ministry’s ability to execute projects with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Mr. Hani Al Shazly, Executive Director of PMI in the Middle East and North Africa, expressed the Institute’s pride in this strategic collaboration, noting that it serves as a strong model for integrating project management methodologies into institutional and security frameworks, thereby enhancing efficiency and driving sustainable impact.
