Emirates Health Services (EHS) today organized the "Future Readiness Lab to Develop a Primary and Preventive Care Strategy" at the Training and Development Center. The event brought together senior leaders and staff as part of EHS’s ongoing efforts to advance the healthcare system and bolster future preparedness, aligning with the outcomes of the UAE government’s 2024 annual meetings and marking 2025 as the "Year of Society."
His Excellency Dr. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Clinical Services Sector at EHS, emphasized that this initiative underscores the organization’s steadfast commitment to the visionary leadership’s directives in anticipating the future and adopting proactive approaches to healthcare development. He noted that EHS is crafting an integrated strategy for primary and preventive care to enhance collaboration with healthcare partners, deliver comprehensive services to all community segments, improve quality of life, strengthen preventive care, achieve national health targets, and ensure sustainable healthcare. He added that the initiative aligns with EHS’s vision to build a resilient, innovative health system capable of adapting to changes and supporting the UAE’s aspirations in promoting societal health and well-being.
Dr. Kareema Al Raesi, Director of the Primary Health Care Department at EHS, highlighted that the lab represents a practical step to translate EHS’s strategic directions into actionable programs and tangible outcomes. This includes fostering partnerships, expanding access to primary and preventive care services, ensuring inclusivity, and building a flexible healthcare system responsive to future challenges and national ambitions.
The Future Readiness Lab serves as a cornerstone for developing the Primary and Preventive Care Strategy, functioning as an interactive platform for stakeholders to discuss key healthcare trends, address anticipated challenges in primary care over the coming years, and devise agile solutions to evolving health needs. The event featured intensive workshops with presentations on global best practices in primary and preventive care, as well as brainstorming sessions to explore future trends and propose innovative projects for EHS’s strategic roadmap.
