Ministry of Health Hosts Second Suppliers Forum to Strengthen Partnerships and Enhance Supply Efficiency

The Ministry of Health, through its Agency for Administrative and Financial Affairs, held the Second Suppliers Forum today (Tuesday), under the patronage of the Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel. The event took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Digital City, with the attendance of the Deputy Minister, Eng. Abdulaziz Al Rumaih, and the Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulatif Al Hizami.

The forum aimed to foster strategic collaboration with suppliers, promote excellence in performance, and elevate the quality of healthcare services,  aligning with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which aspires to create a vibrant society enjoying optimal health and quality of life.

The event welcomed more than 110 suppliers and 52 ministry specialists representing 17 key departments. It served as a platform to reinforce strategic supplier relationships and support a resilient, efficient healthcare supply chain capable of meeting national health demands in a sustainable and reliable manner.

Key topics covered during the forum included the digital transformation of supplier relationship management, addressing challenges and solutions in supply contracts, the launch of a supplier evaluation platform, and performance excellence criteria. The forum also featured an open dialogue session between suppliers and ministry leaders to explore opportunities for improving contractual engagement and enhancing operational efficiency.

Additionally, the forum recognized outstanding suppliers and strategic partners in acknowledgment of their contributions to best practices in medical supply and healthcare service delivery,  underscoring the ministry’s commitment to fostering successful, long-term partnerships.

The Ministry of Health continues to advance its efforts in building sustainable supplier relationships based on quality and excellence, as part of its mission to continuously improve healthcare services for citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom.
