Saudi Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, has honored the CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, Eng. Saleh Al Rasheed, and the CEO of Kidana Development Company, Eng. Mohammed Al Majmaj, along with the project team, in recognition of their exceptional achievement in constructing and launching a fully operational emergency hospital in Mina within a record time of just 30 days.
The hospital is considered one of the fastest-built healthcare facilities globally. It was developed through a strategic partnership between Kidana—the master developer of the holy sites—and the private sector, with the goal of enhancing healthcare readiness and improving service quality for pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1446 AH. The project aligns with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program and the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
With a capacity of 200 beds, the hospital spans over 5,300 square meters and features emergency and inpatient wards, specialized units for treating heatstroke and heat exhaustion, radiology and laboratory services, outpatient clinics, minor surgery rooms, and dedicated facilities for isolation, resuscitation, and staff support.
Strategically located within the emergency landing area in Mina, the hospital is directly connected to King Abdulaziz Road via a newly constructed bridge and modern elevators, facilitating swift patient transfer and emergency response.
This milestone underscores the Kingdom's commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure at the holy sites and providing a safe, integrated medical environment that enables pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
